Andrew Beklemishev oversees and participates in all IDC research, market intelligence consulting, and IDC events in the CIS region. He has 20+ years of experience in IT and telecommunications and specializes in digital transformation strategies for businesses, cities, and countries.
Andrew takes social responsibility seriously and is engaged in numerous nonprofit activities. He is chairman of the Public Council of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and a vice president of the International Academy of CIO, a global nonprofit organization aimed at advancing CIO leadership. He is also a board member and cofounder of the Kazakhstan Society of IT Managers, president of the Central Asia Chapter of the HEC Alumni Association, a council member of the CIO Club of Uzbekistan, and a member of the Strategy Committee of the TechnoWomen nonprofit organization.
Prior to joining IDC in 2007, Andrew’s experience included work with Central Asian governments, USAID, the UNDP, UNESCAP, the World Bank, and the European Commission, as well as with various nongovernmental organizations and private companies.
Andrew Beklemishev holds a Master of Science degree in management from the International Academy of Business (now AlmaU) in Kazakhstan, and an International Executive MBA with honors from the HEC School of Management (France).
