Please join the Center of Excellence for Cybersecurity Risk Management and Resilience (CRC) for "Addressing Major Cyber Security Challenges in the Water Industry" Workshop, where industry leaders, government officials, and cybersecurity experts will come together to discuss pressing security threats facing our water infrastructure and possible solutions. The workshop will focus on CISA Region 3 (VA, PA, WV, DE, MD, DC) and highlights CISA Region 3 coordinators, water utility policy makers, and technologists. This event will serve as a critical forum for discussing the intersection of policy, emerging technology, and artificial intelligence in securing our nation's water systems.

As cyber threats to critical infrastructure continue to rise, securing remote access, network viability to network-connected systems, threat intelligence, and endpoint security, has become essential to protecting public resources. This workshop will provide invaluable insights into how government agencies, industry partners, and security innovators are working to strengthen the cybersecurity posture of water facilities, ensuring operational continuity and public safety in an evolving threat landscape.

George Mason’s Center of Excellence in Government Cybersecurity Risk Management and Resilience (CRC) was founded in November 2023. The Center of Excellence serves as a strategic partner in federal, state and local government cybersecurity and IT modernization efforts. CRC translates state-of-the-art research into practice, provides executive education and convenes workshops and conferences on current government cybersecurity and IT modernization challenges, disseminates best practices, and fosters cybersecurity and IT modernization organizational capacity within federal, state and local governments.
